Amy Sutnick Plotch
Amy Sutnick Plotch is a creative strategist, entrepreneurial thinker and committed do-gooder. With a focus on achieving the goals of each client, she designs communications campaigns, develops and tests messages and rolls up her sleeves to do what it takes to succeed. Amy brings decades of experience directing both national campaigns and local initiatives. She draws on a network of talented communications professionals to bring on board teams with specific skills to match each project.
Under Amy’s leadership, Sutnick Plotch Communications has developed communications and advocacy campaigns for dozens of nonprofits. Recent clients include North Star Fund, the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation, and The Opportunity Network. Amy has also taught strategic communications at NYU’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service.
Before founding Sutnick Plotch Communications, Amy served as Director of Communications for Girls Incorporated, a national youth organization. She created a new external relations department, rebranded the organization and developed a campaign that generated national media coverage and millions of dollars in support. As public affairs director for the New York City Department of Juvenile Justice, Amy successfully developed and achieved support for the construction of new juvenile justice facilities.
Ivette Morello
Ivette Morello specializes in messaging, strategy, media relations, public relations, social media outreach and writing for online communications and print publications.
Ivette’s career includes several years at communications agencies in Boston, New York and in Madrid, Spain. She is a talented writer and editor with vast experience in translating and simplifying complex concepts and jargon into plain, easy-to-understand language.
Maggie Jacoby
Maggie Jacoby develops innovative communication strategies, focusing on digital and print content, social media, media relations, as well as writing, editing and message development. She is a strong project manager who knows how to get things accomplished through creative and innovative problem solving.
As the first communication director for North Star Fund, Maggie helped position the foundation as the home for grassroots activism in NYC and worked to increase the reporting of local, social justice stories. While there she also led the press strategy, collateral, and communications plan for a $9 million capital campaign to increase support for grassroots activism in NYC. Most recently, she created a communications strategy that unified the fourteen sponsoring organizations of Banned Books Week to garner greater awareness of the issue of book censorship.
